We hope you and your family had a nice Shabbat, are healthy and doing well.
The other day someone said to us, “I just want to have something to look forward to this summer” and it got me thinking.
Sending kids to camp this summer is more important than ever before.
It is almost everyday now that we hear from a parent how their children would rather not leave the house, get anxiety when they have to go out and are more dependent and addicted to their devices like never before.
The 2021 summer season has the ability to get kids back to being kids, back to running around, breaking a sweat, exploring new adventures and meeting new people. Camp this summer will help kids get back to learning important life skills, that will ensure emotionally healthy and socially savvy children.
While many parents are eager and willing to sign up for the 2021 summer, and send their kids off to an awesome summer adventure, we also understand that some parents are a little hesitant about planning so far ahead and are skeptical of what the 2021 summer may look like.
What we can all agree on it seems, is how critical it is to allow our kids to experience some back to normal life by sending kids to camp this summer.
As the directors of a Jewish community and a day camp we feel it is our responsibility to help all families at this time, by making as much information about camp available, so that each family can make the right decision for their unique situation and level of comfort.
In addition, we have implemented a secondary fair and reasonable refund policy to help parents in making the right decision for their children with the least financial risk.
This Sunday, November 15th, we will be holding a zoom session about summer camp, which will help clarify the following:
- What we have seen other camps do successfully
- What you can expect from us
- How we can ensure our kids have a great safe summer
- Our new refund policies
- Answer questions that have been submitted to us about camp
- Open up for any questions you may have.
If there is one thing we know for sure is that we are prepared for an amazing summer, and we want to be transparent with you and make sure that you will feel safe and comfortable about enrolling to Fair Lawn Jewish Day Camp.
This will be a brief meeting that will ease your mind about enjoying your summer in 2021. Even if you can’t attend the meeting, sign up anyway and you will receive the recording. You can submit a question ahead of time on the form when you sign up, and we will address it anonymously on the call.
I really want to hear from you!
