Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and Internet Policy

Introduction: In order to participate and adhere to the remote learning program offered by the children’s schools, students will be required to bring a compatible device to the program. It is expected that parents send students to the program with an appropriate device per the requirements of their school program. In addition to the device itself, parents are required to send in daily with their children any peripherals required for the operation of their device including but not limited to power supplies, chargers, protective cases and/or bags, mice and a noise canceling headset that is compatible with the student’s device for the purpose of attending video and/or audio instruction.

Device: For the purpose of this BYOD policy, a personal technology device is a privately-owned, wireless electronic device such as a laptop, Chromebook, tablet, or smartphone, and all relevant peripherals, power supplies, chargers, power cords, accessories etc.

Internet: We will make high speed WiFi available for students to use while attending the program.
Security and Damages: The individual owner is responsible for the security and safety of the device, accessories and content. Bris Avrohom of Fair Lawn and its employees or volunteers are not liable for any device brought to our facility. Individuals are encouraged to utilize security methods to protect their own devices. We will not be able to investigate any damage, theft or other loss to or of a personal device.

Additional Guidelines: Parents are encouraged to purchase accident/loss insurance for the devices sent into the program with the students. Please label all devices and accessories clearly with your child’s name. Please send in devices fully charged, and in protective bags/cases to minimize the risk of damage. Your child must bring their device with them each morning, and take it home with them at the end of each day. No electronics, accessories or other valuable property should be left at our facility overnight.

Waiver: Bris Avrohom of Fair Lawn is not responsible for any maintenance, damage, theft, usage or usage charges, or loss of personal equipment and property. Students using personal devices are responsible for the maintenance, care, and protection of the personal equipment that they bring to the program.
The parents release all liability and indemnify Bris Avrohom of Fair Lawn, its employees, volunteers and designees, from any responsibility for this equipment.
