What a busy day at Hebrew school! Hebrew reading and prayers, holiday calendar, Tashlich service with Rabbi Mendel, Yom Kippur mystery box game for the younger classes, Yom Kippur holiday challenge for the older classes, as we learned the 3 steps of Teshuvah, (forgiveness) the story of Jonah, how we celebrate the holiday and then on to the holiday of Sukkot, making model Sukkot, history of the holiday and delicious edible Sukkot!

Rosh Hashanah is in the air as our amazing Hebrew School kids mastered Rosh Hashanah prayers, practiced the different shofar sounds, with the "world's largest shofar:) " tasted all the delicious Rosh Hashanah symbolic foods, while learning their hebrew names and significance, and shared their good resolutions for the new year! Wishing you all a shanah tovah! May we all be inscribed for a very happy and sweet new year!
Moms and Kids Challah Bake September 10, 2017
On Sunday evening, Moms and and kids from throughout our community, joined for a great evening of fun and inspiration, making delicious challah in honor of Rosh Hashanah! Thank you to our Jteen Club volunteers for all your hard work in setting up the room, and thank you to all the participants who made the evening a great success! What an awesome, sweet start to Hebrew school! So nice to see all the smiling faces, eager to begin a fun-filled year of learning! We sang the morning prayers, refreshed our Hebrew reading with a candy bingo game, enjoyed a delicious honey cake bake-off, and got right into learning all about the upcoming holiday of Rosh Hashanah!
