At Cett Hebrew School, we firmly believe that your child's Jewish learning should be exciting, relevant and engaging. Our hands-on learning style will allow the children to experience living Judaism!
In order to successfully implement our goals, a home-school partnership is very important. We encourage you to be actively involved in your child's Hebrew school experience, and contact us with any information, questions and/or feedback to help your child have a very successful year!
Important First Day Info:
Security: We have hired an armed guard who will be on premises during Hebrew School hours. The building locks automatically, to enter you must ring the bell and be buzzed in.
Drop off and pick up are at the back entrance of the synagogue, located at 30-02 Fair Lawn Ave. in Fair Lawn. The front door will not be used for Hebrew school.
Important Covid Safety measures:
- Drop off begins at 9:50am.
- Children will be greeted at your car by staff, parents should not exit their cars.
- Temperature checks will conducted.
- Upon arrival to the synagogue all children will be go directly to their teacher and group.
- Children will remain with their specific group throughout the day. Masks will be worn when entering and exiting the classrooms and walking through common areas.
- Pick up begins at 12:25pm. Parents should remain in their cars, children will be brought to your car.
General Information:
Please ensure that children eat a hearty breakfast before coming to school, children can focus and learn much better when they are not hungry. A light snack will be served at Hebrew school at approx. 11:00am.

Hebrew school supplies:
All children will receive a Hebrew school bag and folder on the first day. Please ensure that it is checked weekly, and is brought to Hebrew school each Sunday.
Cell Phone Policy:
We keep a strictly "no cell phone policy" at Hebrew School. Please do not send phones with your children to school. All cell phones, if brought to school will be kept in the office until dismissal. Thank you for your cooperation!
Please send with your child:
2 Sharpened pencils in pencil case
Few coins for Tzedakah (charity)
All boys should wear a kippah, hat or cap.
A mask for walking through common areas.
Weather permitting, children will go outdoors. Please dress appropriately.
